About Us > Sarah Basiletti
My career is finally slowly beginning to leave the ground, and I don't want to jinx it. Currently I am finishing a Master's degree in percussion performance at CSU Fresno. During these past few years at Fresno State, I have performed with the Wind and Percussion Ensembles. I have also acted as Graduate Assistant and Pit Instructor for the Fresno State Bulldog Marching Band. Prior to my work in Fresno, I earned a Bachelor's degree in percussion performance at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. During the seven or so years I have been a student, I have been involved in more ensemble performances than I can remember. Most recently, the Fresno State Percussion Ensemble dazzled a small audience at the CMEA conference in Ontario, CA. While most of my performing experience has been as part of a University ensemble, I have also played professionally with the San Luis Obispo Symphony, SLO Mozart Festival, Cuesta Master Chorale, Merced Symphony, Orpheus Ensemble, and the Fresno Community Chorus.
I anticipate that my summer will be devoted to preparing music for my graduate recital and teaching classes at Reedley College. Future plans include any work with the amazing Allan Spencer, Mike Downing, and Gary Smith (Members of the Allan Spencer Mallet Choir). I also hope to continue teaching at Reedley and any other junior colleges in the Fresno area that will have me....in addition to starting up a private studio of my own.
